Pas fou ...la commande se fait au bar personne ne se déplace a votre table, les cartes sont en anglais ..rien en français heureusement que nous sommes en France...le concept est assez bizarre il faut choisir entre 3/4/5 tacos mais on se sait pas vraiment ce qui nois attend niveau quantité...plus beaucoup de choix ( pas de poulet,pas de Crevette....) dommage 😒 😔 très peu de choix sur la carte La salle est assez bien décorées la serveuse aimable mais pas trop satisfaite de ce restaurant...

Beautiful cozy place, found margaritas on the expensive side. We paid 50+eu for a pitcher of 5 glasses. Vegetarian options was too bitter for our taste.

Amazing food and amazing service

My favorite spot in Chamonix! Great fresh alternative to the traditional and local Savoyarde food. The combination of really good craft beer and high-quality tacos is hard to beat. You can tell everything is made from scratch—especially the tortillas, which really elevate the whole experience. The atmosphere is relaxed and social, perfect for hanging out with friends and locals over a few beers or margaritas. The staff were also genuinely friendly and knowledgeable about both the food and drinks. Big plus for the wide beer selection and a menu that feels fresh and varied. Will definitely be back next time I’m in Chamonix!

Young lady with blonde hair was great at job under short staffed conditions when was very busy stand out member of staff.

I went with a group of 6 and everyone really enjoyed there food. I had a mix of 4 and loved them all. The cactus one was new to me but still great and the chicken one was my favourite its not good if you dont enjoy spicy though.

One of the food highlights during our stay in Chamonix! So much so we went twice :) The food and drinks were absolutely delicious and the staff were lovely. We had the Chicken Tinga, Nachos and Classic Margaritas. Would highly recommend and we will definitely be back!

Lovely small restaurant . We ordered the chicken tacos, prawn tacos and some nachos . Our only meal for the day as where skiing all day. Woke up at 5am with severe nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain and diarrhoea (both myself and husband). As a result we had to prolong our trip, find a different hotel to stay for the day and pay a whole new ticket for the Calais train. Is the atmosphere nice? Yes! Is the staff nice ? Yes! Is the food dangerous? Yes! As a doctor I can diagnose food poising from gastroenteritis and this is clear food poising. Don’t let your chicken out of the fridge guys or whatever is that, that you reheated. Thanks for costing us a lot of extra money and for delaying our return home, which will now affect our work on Monday. Wouldn’t recommend and I never leave bad reviews …

As a Texan living in Europe, these realllly hit the spot. Wonderful street tacos. Not spicy-hot, but very flavorful. Adorable ambience too. The cabbage tacos were really delicious for my vegetarian son. They even have the whole array of Jarritos sodas! Taco Tuesday; 3 for 4!

A must visit for when in Chamonix! There was a lovely atmosphere, with very friendly staff and the food was amazing! Served very quickly and the food was super fresh. Also a great selection of beers!

This place was SO good. Outstanding quality for the price. Some of the best Tacos I have had in a while... and I know my tacos. The service was super casual, and the beer was good. I highly recommend this place for a casual spot anytime of the day.

Excellent nachos...without canned nacho cheese, but tasted better without. The ingredients are fresh and tasty. Seasoning makes the dish along with the good ingredients. Street tacos are quite authentic - heavy chunks on the meat side...but very good. Guacamole is very fresh and good. They need some jalapeño...but all good. Tajin/ salt rimmed margaritas are so tasty...almost ordered another. Thank you!

We went here when in chamonix twice. Both times, we gave a tip for the excellent, personalized service offered here. They have an extremely small menu, of around four tacos which rotate, some sharing snacks like chips with guacamole, chips with cheesy corn, and a few other things like nachos etc. This small menu should not deflate your spirits as every thing on that menu is excellent. We had the nachos, and the fish, chicken, and cabbage tacos. They add some grated cheese on the tacos and melt it until it’s a crispy shell on soft tortillas, their tacos paired with lime juice and their two house-made salsas is truly excellent. They offer a few great craft beers and a Mexican soda known as Jarritos for drinks among other things. I recommend the mango and lime flavors of Jarritos as they are great. Small but tasty menu focused on homemade tacos and nachos and a nice selection of beers in tap. Very relaxed and friendly vibe (shout out to Lucy and her colleague behind the bar) and especially liked the chilled music.

Extremely poor service. Steer clear. We went into Stories to reserve a table for 10 people the next evening. They had the temerity to say that ‘as of 10 minutes ago we cannot take bookings’. Really! One of our party is coeliac so we needed to guarantee we had secured somewhere to eat that had a gluten free menu, which Stories did have. We even offered to secure the booking with a credit card. The owners weren’t interested. The fact that they completely disregarded this simple request is extremely disappointing and disrespectful. Gives the impression they don’t need the business.

We found Tasty Tacos by accident and a very happy mistake it was!! The food was delicious and well portioned. We happen to visit on 4 for 3 Taco Tuesday. Tried each taco available and loved them all, each bursting with different flavors profiles. The Nachos were just as delicious and generous portion to feed a table of 4 with 2 ravished teenagers. Spicy Margarita was a perfect pairing. Will absolutely be back when in Chamonix!

After hiking for several days we stayed in town. I am from Southern California and have spent a lot of time eating great tacos on both sides of the boarder. I was skeptical of Tacos in France but they do a great job here. Probably the best fish taco I’ve had outside of San Diego, tortillas were really well made. Great Craft beer and NA beer options

La comida es buena, probamos la opción de 4 tacos por 21 € (nosotros probamos pastor, tinga, carnitas y barbacoa) pero los de carnitas se llevan la estrella 10/10 Los tacos son bastante grandes y llenadores👌 Sin embargo la atención no es la mejor, hay un mesero en específico que es poco amable en cuanto a la hora de tomar la orden incluso de darte info de los horarios. (La cocina cierra más temprano entre semana, así que si quieres comer y no solo tomar té recomiendo revisar bien la página o llamar antes para preguntar) :)

Go for the beer -good selection for France. Unfortunately the tacos are terrible - avoid! Don’t know what I expected really. Beef arrived dry, hard and cold. Others had little flavour and the fish was a frozen fish finger. Staff were polite but seemed unable to do anything about it. Shame. There is now a French menu as a few people mentioned there isn’t one

They tried. These are by no means authentic tacos if that's what you are looking for. The Al Pastor was extremely dry. I was very disappointed. The Carnitas had the best flavor but was still lacking. The Barbacoa was a big disappointment. Perhaps in a town in the mountains of France, people think these are great tacos. I would beg to differ. Service was mediocre. The staff was friendly but getting their attention to order was trying at times. Overall, I would skip this place.

What a fantastic restaurant especially for a vegetarian like me. They had TWO veggie tacos (savoy cabaage and nopales (cactus)!) which is rare to find in a taco place. I throughly enjoyed my dinner. My partner got the shrimp, carnitas and al pastor (favorite). All the meat was deep fried so slightly different than expected. The nachos were also very tasty. It had guacamole and salsa on top of it. The guacamole was so fresh!! The local gin and tonic was tasty but the margarita was meh. Overall, I highly recommend this restaurant!

Vegetarian Tacos and Nachos with Toppings both tasted great. Their home made Habanero oil tasted very good which they gave me when I asked for spicy. Staff were friendly and service was also quick. I would recommend them.

Incredible tacos! Worth the stop Service was a little slow for us and it wasn’t overly busy, but there was only one server for the patio. Food made up for it and i highly recommend if you have a taco craving!

Nice waiter, however it took really a long time. Food disgusting. Worst nachos in my life. I didn't know that nachos can be that oily. Tacos - oil and ton of coriander. I felt nausea when leaving the place.

Fun evening at Stories with delicious tacos and margaritas . They have an extensive selection of beers . Pitcher of margarita is a great value and available in different flavours. Dont forget to ask for daily specials! Tends to get very packed so go early or late dinner

Délicieux tacos mexicains, bien chargés et très bons ! J'aurai dû prendre des photos mais les autres avis parleront d'eux-mêmes. Le resto ne prend pas les réservations de moins de 6 personnes (nous étions 3) mais nous avons pu avoir des places et le service n'a pas été trop long. Les employés sont très sympathiques mais qqs difficultés avec le français; ok si vous êtes anglophones mais un peu plus compliqué sinon.

Je suis venue manger deux jours consécutifs, le service était incroyable ainsi que la nourriture, des produits maison, des cocktails incroyables, et un accueil super. À faire absolument

Loved this place! Total hidden gem in Chamonix. The tacos were bursting with flavor, my favorite were fish and the pork and pineapple ones; the homemade chips with guac were next-level. Cocktails were super fun, I also loved the beer selection. The whole vibe was relaxed, stylish, and easygoing. Staff were warm, service was the best I had in Chamonix in any other places, and made it feel like hanging at a cool friend’s spot. 100% coming back.

My favorite place to eat in Chamonix

The food eaten was good! We were happy to find decent tacos. Generous protein portions which was really nice. Tried all the tacos, carnitas were our favorite. The staff was very nice, but they were overwhelmed with keg issues and it seemed like the kitchen was overwhelmed. We arrived at 6:50pm and did not get our meals until about 8:15pm. Had to go to the bar to get any ordering done. Really seemed like they were having a hard night so we were not out out, but dang we were so hungry. My spicy margarita had a kick!! Guessing made with habanero. Maybe go earlier before they have a big dinner wave. But would go back assuming they had resolved their issues that night.

Food was delicious. Chef is Mexican. Had the beef nachos. Good range of drinks including rum. One server was friendly and polite, the other was quite French. Busy place

I’m shocked to find good tacos in Chamonix of all places, but this place delivers. Skip the barbacoa, not spicy enough. Skip the guacamole which isn’t good at all. But they nail their carnitas and have pretty good al pastor. Yes, it’s expensive as hell (16 euros for 3 tacos with no sides!!?!?!?) but I haven’t had a taste of home as good as this anywhere else in europe

Wow!!! What a great little place. The food is super delicious and the service is so amazing! Atmosphere is so comfortable and chilled. Staff are so so nice, hospitable and welcoming. We had a few picky eaters, a vegan and kids in our party. We were all happy and full! Don’t hesitate and come in to enjoy really good food and cool drinks 🍹!

The best tacos and burritos, I feel in Mexico

Très belle découverte. Personnel très agréable et au petit soin pour apporter de l’eau à notre chien. Les tacos sont tout simplement excellents : les galettes des tacos me rappellent le goût de ceux au Mexique. Ils sont bien garnis et avec des ingrédients de qualité. J’y retournerai avec plaisir !

I love authentic Mexican food, and have grown up with it. So I was skeptical. But it was amazing planning to go at least once if not twice more before I leave town.

Went here for lunch today. Delicious chicken burritos and not expensive! 5* craft beer. Friendly, efficient service as well. Definitely going to be a regular place for us to eat in Chamonix. 42 bucks for 2 people and the burrito was so big I saved half for my dinner 😁. Dog friendly establishment too!

Nous nous sommes assis à une table qui n’avait pas encore été débarrassée suite à la confirmation du serveur qu’il allait la nettoyer rapidement. Après 10 minutes, aucun serveur n’est venu nous voir, ignorant même à plusieurs reprises nos demandes polies. Ma conjointe décida de nettoyer elle-même la table et d’aller porter la vaisselle à l’intérieur. Elle y reçut un accueil froid qui ne changea rien. Après un autre 10 minutes à se faire complètement ignorer par les serveurs et les voir servir un groupe arrivé après nous. Nous avons tout simplement quitté.

We had five nights in Chamonix and we came here twice! We’re from California so we know good tacos and this was one of them. So yummy!!! (This was written by a 11 year old and an 8 year old with parents guidance)😅

An extremely cold and rude waiter—I don’t know why. I’ve loved everyone I’ve met in France, and I’ve always been warm, friendly, and polite to everyone, but I’ve never encountered such a cold and rude waiter. I was sitting at a table by the street, and after I finished my dinner (which was great), I noticed other tables had ashtrays. I wanted to ask the waiter if I could have an ashtray and if it was okay to smoke there. The tall, thin, darker-skinned waiter replied coldly with a simple “no.” I thought, okay, maybe smoking just isn’t allowed at this place. Later, after I finished my cocktail, I asked if I could get the bill, and this waiter again showed an impatient expression. I don’t understand why he felt the need to wear such a sour face toward customers. That said, the other two waiters were absolutely wonderful—absolutely perfect. I don’t know how this place doesn’t have more reviews, maybe it’s new? But my goodness the beef tacos are incredible! So so juicyyyy! You can taste the fresh ingredients. I especially loved that the tacos were homemade using corn. Service was also excellent :) Highly recommend

We thought this place was great; we ate here twice. The nachos were really tasty and they served vegan tacos that were great too. On our second visit we had to check the nachos were still vegan as they had run out of beans and replaced it with something that had dairy in it; they swapped it out straight away when we mentioned it. Loved the buzz of sitting out in the main street also. The staff were really chatty and friendly too.

If you love authentic soft tacos done at a high standard THIS is your place! And if you've got coeliac disease, like I do, again: THIS is your place. The tortillas are made properly onsite with only maize and they have a tasty GF beer to wash yourtacos down. The Al Pastor was particularly stand out 🙌 But I recommend choosing an assortment & finding out for yourself. Tge service got a 4 only because it was a relatively mellow 3pm when I arrived and yet it took about 15mins to get my order taken, but maybe they were missing a staff member. Either way, it was worth the wait 😉

Cute place for tacos, beer and margaritas. We got the plate of 5 taco’s which was delicious. They are very generous on the amount of meat given. The drinks were great too! Note - there’s heaters outside for warmth too.

The service was excellent as was the food. We have travelled all over the world and this place has the best Tacos on the planet. Full portions, homemade ingredients made the food delicious. Fresh tomatoes, homemade guacamole, homemade tortilla chips. Excellent blend of flavors - top notch anywhere in the world!

Pas de carte en français et le personnel ne fait même pas l'effort de parler en français... Faire du business à Chamonix OK mais il faudrait au minimum respecter la clientèle locale... Pour ce qui est des plats la quantité est limitée et le goût moyen.

No puedo dejar de recomendar este lugar. Hacía mucho no probaba tacos tan ricos, llenos de sabor y con ese toque casero que te hace sentir en pleno México. Las porciones son generosas, se nota que no escatiman ni en ingredientes ni en amor por la cocina. Y todo esto tiene una responsable: Barbi, la chef, que es una genia total. Se nota que cocina con pasión y eso se refleja en cada plato. Las especias, los sabores, la presentación… todo está hecho con un cuidado increíble. Además, los precios son súper accesibles, y tienen una variedad de birras tremenda para acompañar. Si buscás comida mexicana de verdad, con sabor auténtico y un ambiente cálido, este lugar es parada obligatoria. ¡Gracias Barbi por hacerme viajar a México sin salir de Chamonix!

I’m happy to see a taco bar in here, great spot to have light bite if you don’t feel like sit down and dining for 1-2 hours. Relaxing atmosphere with outdoor sitting, great to enjoy the mountain or people watching.The service was excellent, friendly and attentive.

The atmosphere at this restaurant was really enjoyable — vibrant and lively. However, we were quite disappointed with the food. The nachos were decent, but the tacos were a letdown. The meat was dry, lacked seasoning, and overall the tacos were bland and far from authentic. The place was overcrowded, and although the servers were friendly and welcoming, they seemed distracted and more focused on their own conversations than the guests. This might be a fine spot to grab a beer and some nachos with friends, but I wouldn’t recommend it for a proper dinner.

We stopped by this place for lunch and really enjoyed the experience. The food was absolutely lovely—tacos were well made with fresh ingredients, but the real stars were the totopos and esquites. Both were packed with flavour and clearly made with care; we’d definitely come back just for those! The atmosphere was casual and welcoming, making it a nice spot to relax. Service was generally pleasant, though at times it felt like it could have been a little more attentive—nothing major, but just small things like checking in or refilling water. That said, the overall vibe and great food made it a worthwhile stop, and we’d be happy to return.

Excellent tacos (especially the fish and carnitas) and a great selection of margaritas. Well worth a visit.

Front of house staff need training up. The bar/restaurant is a great addition to Chamonix. We've been a few times now and the Tacos are really good. Very tasty and well presented. Chamonix has a long history of Swedish chefs offering great food in Chamonix There's a nice atmosphere although I think the new lighting makes the room feel a little dark at the back tables. But the service is not good. The girls are very sweet but I just get the idea they are lacking in experience and training. They don't scan the room for customers trying to make eye contact. Once you place an order, the food comes through pretty quick - it just takes an age to place an order. Sort this out and it will be a great place. As I said, we really enjoy the food and we will definitely go back (even if the service does not improve).

From the moment we walked in, we felt welcomed like friends.The tacos were absolutely delicious—fresh, flavorful, and perfectly seasoned. The nachos were loaded with just the right amount of toppings, and the margaritas were some of the best we’ve had. The service was brilliant—warm, attentive, and genuinely passionate about making sure every guest had an amazing experience. If you’re looking for a cozy, authentic, and absolutely delicious spot to unwind after a day of skiing, this is the place to be. Highly recommend!😍

Such a cute little restaurant and bar in the centre of Chamonix. Great choice of beer on tap. We went for the nachos and tacos and they were both very tasty. The food is fresh and feels healthy (as healthy as Mexican food can be). Super nice atmosphere for a Saturday lunch time.

We eat a lot of tacos when we visit family in San Diego. These are epically good :)) Try the fish. Amazing.

Tacos are really good. They don’t give u a lot of salsa. One of the waiters wasn’t that friendly and it takes too long for them to come to the table. They only speak English and not that understanding against non English speakers (French).

This is our second visit and sometimes there are places that you will go and eat and the first time is great but the second time you go it's not so great...Well this isn't one of them the food was incredible just like the first time we walked in to eat 💖 The owners are super friendly. 100% Recommend coming and saying hi and grabbing yourself some amazing tacos . Thanks for the food guys !

One of the best margaritas I've ever had! I went for spicy and frozen. We had one of each taco plus nachos and flavour was an 11/10. Chilled atmosphere, friendly staff and decent value for Chamonix prices, 100% recommend!

Look guys, I know a thing or two about tacos. I’m from Chicago which is an epicenter of tacos and authentic taquerias. I’ve had many euro-tacos and they are just bad - this place breaks the mold. These tacos were great, very authentic - I’d up the heat a bit myself or offer a spicier salsa on the side since I know the European palate has trouble with spice. Give this place a try!

We are so excited to have REAL tacos in Chamonix! While we Americans prefer a tad more heat, the tacos and nachos were delicious. They have cilantro and black beans!!! The homemade chips for the nachos were great. The handmade corn tortillas? Chef’s kiss! Amazing. So happy for this new addition to town!

I've lived in Chamonix for 4 years now and Stories is just what Chamonix needed. The food is amazing, some of the best tacos I've ever had. They also have some really great non-alcoholic drinks options too. I took some friends who were visiting for a few days and they insisted we go back 2 days later for the tacos as they enjoyed them so much. Highly recommend!

Excellent food. It was very cold in the restaurant when I happened to be there — my second taco was already cold, like it had come out of the fridge, by the time I got to it. I am hoping it’s not always so cold. The waitress was pleasant, but preoccupied with other tasks. Great food and excellent music!

First legit taco place in Chamonix. Homemade tortillas and everything else. 12 beers and a nice atmosphere. We had the barbacoa, carnitas and Al pastor and they were all really good. Highly recommended

Delicious spot for craft beer, margaritas, and tacos. They are among the best I’ve had in France. The corn tortillas and homemade chips are delicious! 🤩 The grilled cabbage veggie taco was an unexpected hit. They also have difference sauces including some actual hot sauce. The spicy margarita also had some kick which I loved. You can just enjoy a beverage here as well. The tacos are really well priced and a great snack or full meal.

Extremely excited to have a good taco restaurant in Cham! It's really hard to find a good one in Europe so to have one here is a big win. Slowly working my way through the menu and have yet to be disappointed by anything. In addition to well-made authentic tacos is a wide tap beer selection, really friendly staff, with appropriate prices. Definitely recommend.

Newly opened bar and it did not disappoint! We got the beef taco, slow cooked pork tacos, and the guac. It was DELICIOUS. Props to the chef! Great flavours and a nice authentic vibe. Great looking venue so far, keen to see more on their back bar but was impressed with what they had so far. Mezcal margs were great. The only recommendation - I'd love to hear the music turned up a little more as it was very quiet.
