A really fantastic hotel in a superb location with helpful, courteous and caring staff. We were served a delicious meal every night and I believe the hotel really helped us to fully enjoy the entire Chamonix mountain experience and this is the view from there.

L'hôtel est bien situé au calme à 10 min à pied du centre ville de Chamonix. La propriétaire et le personnel sont très charmants. Propre, cuisine seine et savoureuse (faite maison) et ambiance cosy vous feront passer un agréable sejour.

This was a 5 night short break. We never skied but the mountains was our reason for the visit. |The hotel is excellently situated with stunning views of both valley sides. |10-15 mins walk or a couple of short train stops from the ctr of town and 15 mins walk from the bus station. |The hotel is basic, lovely bar/ lounge/dining room. We had dinner one night which was lovely, breakfast is typical continental and nice. Bedrooms are compact but let’s face it, it’s only to clean up in and sleep, very comfortable and quiet. |The staff were exceptionally friendly and accommodating, nothing was a trouble. Absolutely loved our stay here and would highly recommend it.

Gemütliches kleines Hotel etwas außerhalb des Stadtzentrum.

I am a first-time traveler to France and booked this hotel and I am so happy I did. It has been a wonderful experience. The location is perfect as there is a train and bus stop directly across the street and it is close to city center and skiing. The staff is wonderful and let me in my room early due to my arrival time. The room is great for my needs, clean and with a comfortable bed. The food is also wonderful. Even though I did not speak French, the staff was very very helpful and friendly, Everything about this hotel has been fantastic and I hope to come back again.

This lovely little hotel has been our base for ski trips with friends for at least five years now! The owner and staff could not possibly be more helpful and friendly. The beds and rooms are comfortable, there is plenty of hot water and the food in the restaurant is delicious.

Friendly, comfortable and just what was needed as a Chamonix ski base. Good ski room for dry boots in the morning, ski bus and train just outside to access all the ski areas. Breakfast and dinner all varied and delicious. We have stayed here many times before and will be back.

Abbiamo soggiornato in questo hotel carino dall’ottimo rapporto qualità prezzo due notti in mezza pensione 10 minuti dal centro di Chamonix ci siamo trovati benissimo in tutto dal personale gentile e sempre disponibile alla pulizia ecc. Manca solo la tv nelle camere Ottima sia la colazione che la cena in un ambiente tranquillo e raffinato. Torneremo sicuramente.

Bellissima esperienza, posizione ottima, in neanche 10 minuti a piedi si arriva al centro, personale disponibile e gentilissimo. Unico problema la colazione senza glutine dovrebbe essere più varia. Consiglio benissimo questo hotel.

Great customer service and location

The view from our room (208) was incredible, the service was outstanding and they had good food. Walking distance from Chamonix downtowm (this was great considering that we visited during the peak season and getting a parking was imposible at certain hours.

My son and I were looking to fit in a few days snowboarding and thought we’d try La Chaumiere. I can’t fault it if you want a simple base to explore the surrounding area. ||The rooms are basic but clean, and can be had with balconies and views of Mont Blanc. There’s a secure room with a boot dryer and plenty of room for skis, boards, etc. there are also showers and changing facilities you can use after check out, so you can get out of your ski gear and freshen up before heading to the airport.||The staff at the front desk, bar, and restaurant are unfailingly helpful and pleasant.||We stayed half board and enjoyed both the breakfasts and dinners. The former consisted of a good selection of breads, cheeses, cold meats, eggs, yoghurts, pastries, fruit and so on. The dinners were three fixed courses and offered a good variety of dishes during our stay - including steak, lasagne, soup, apple

Brilliant location. 10 minute walk into the town centre but a two minute walk to the Mount Blanc express train.|The location overlooked the whole mountain range, including Mount Blanc you’ve got two balconies it was absolutely beautiful.|We had great support and help fromTarja who was based at the hotel next door. She called us and was always available. She spoke perfect English.|We found a whole apartment to be really high spec, very clean it had absolutely everything.|It was quite open plan with beautiful log fireplace which we found really cozy.|We found the apartment to be quiet and occasionally we could hear the gentle sound of the Mount Blanc express rolling past, which we found quite charming.

Great value for a great price. Super friendly staff. Great bar and breakfast buffet. A bit off the city center, but I count it as a big plus because of quiet neighbourhood.

The accommodation met expectations. ||I can recommend breakfast and dinner. Good lounges and bar. The multilingual staff served in a customer-oriented manner and was interested in developing the services to meet the customers' wishes.

A fantastic place to stay in Chamonix. A great stay for the price. I stayed here before and after the TMB and it was perfect both times. The breakfast is fantastic, the front desk service are incredibly kind and helpful, and the rooms are very nice. I stayed in the balcony rooms both times and they were both very pleasant. The bathrooms are quality with nice warm showers. The breakfast buffet is very good with a variety of options for food and drinks. The breakfast is what made me decide to stay here again for two nights after completing the Tour du Mont Blanc. I did not try their dinners, but they offer what looks to be a solid three course menu that changes every day for €30. Lastly, they offer bag storage for one of the best rates in Chamonix of €5 a day which I did take advantage of. Highly recommend this stay for a very good price, and I will absolutely stay here again in the fut

Excellent service and amenities Was a great place to stay for a night in Chamonix before we started our TMB A little further from the main square and Chamonix area but other than that it away excellent. Staff were amazing!

Hotel La Chaumiere is a perfect spot for activity holidays. Great friendly service, raelly nice but simple breakfast with good ingredients. They have good dinner there too.

Helen provided us with whatever information and assistance we wanted cheerfully and without hesitation. She helped us organise sightseeing with a local knowledge that was invaluable. Atmospheric hotel with a cosy feel.

The Hotel is very clean and quite modern and the staff is friendly and helpful. We had a room with mont blanc view, which is pretty amazing. Breakfast is good and offers something for everyone. So cheese, sausage, muesli and more. But I don't think dinner is good for this price. The flavour is ok, but the portions are small and the food is always the same every week. Would be nice if there was a bit more choice of dishes. Otherwise a great hotel with nice owners.

Had a great stay at La Chaumière in Chamonix.||Pros|- Friendly staff, multiple languages|- Clean room, bathroom|- Good location. Quiet area, 10 min walk to Chamonix city center, bus stop right outside|- Good water pressure in shower|- Ski locker||Neutral|- Food is good quality but dinner portion quantities are small and often vegetarian. If you spend a day skiing and tend to eat more than average, you may be disappointed with the diet. The breakfast is an assortment of cold foods (meat&cheese, yogurt, cereal, pastries etc) and hard boiled eggs. Dinner examples are duck leg with potatoes, vegetarian lasagna, potatoes au gratin, maybe 6 oz of white fish with sauce. Dessert always very good.|- Room & bathroom are quite small but fine for solo traveler.||Cons|- No laundry onsite. However, downtown Chamonix has some good laundromat options for travelers.

Voor een of meerdere nachten prima, kamers zijn klein maar knus, je gaat er heen om te overnachten en je hebt een fantastisch uitzicht op de Mont Blanc!

Nous avons été très bien accueillis, l'ambiance était très sympathique, la chambre très propre et un bon rapport qualité/prix.

Super petit hôtel juste en dehors de Chamonix, à 1 arrêt en train (gratuit) ou 10min de marche. On s’y est vraiment sentis « comme à la maison ». Personnel sympathique, gentil, bienveillant et des dîners savoureux et variés. Juste à côté de la route et des rails de train mais au final très calme quand même. Merci!! ☺️

Amazing stay ! All the staff were extremely helpful and friendly . The food every evening was delicious ( everyone one in our party was constantly complimenting the standard of the food) !! The location is close to Chamonix town centre a 10 min walk , or 2 minute bus / train ride . Rooms are clean and quiet . Dedicated secure room for skis/boards . Would definitely stay again and recommend this great value hotel.

Comfortable rooms, very clean, great food, super friendly and helpful staff. Great location, only 10 minutes walk from the centre of town and with both train and bus stops outside for easy access up and down the valley. What more would you want?...

We stayed over one night, we had a pretty nice stay overall. The biggest reason for 3* is the noise from the street. The windows and balcony doors are so thin that it feel like the cars and trains are passing through your room. It woke us up during the night a couple times. Also the WiFi was very unreliable. Otherwise the room was spacious, pretty clean and had an incredible view of Mt Blanc. Breakfast was mediocre - bread, fruits, yoghurts and only 'cooked' article were boiled eggs. Location around 15 mins from the center.

Das Hotel wurde uns als urtümliche Bergsteiger-Lodge mit gutem Frühstück, gemütlicher Bar, schönen Zimmern und nettem, zuvorkommenden Service empfohlen. Genau das haben wir angetroffen. Eine tolle Woche in Chamonix. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Our stay at La Chaumiere was great. The staff was incredibly nice and very helpful with all of our questions about the town, lifts and the transit system. The international mix of the other guests made for a great stay. Adventure skiers are a special group of people to be around!!!!

Nice place to stay..

Fantastic little gem of a hotel . Room are clean and fresh with a wonderful of mint blank. Breakfast and a 3 course dinner was exceptional. 25 metre from the ski bus and 100 metres from the big mountains bar , well worth a visit . We would highly recommend this hotel . Also provide backed lunch .

We ate at this restaurant twice for an evening meal during our holiday in Chamonix and can thoroughly recommend it. The staff were great and accomadating fitting me and 3 friends in when we were a bit late. The food is a set menu that changes every night and is really good value for money. Great little bar aswell. Merci bien !

A peaceful walk just outside of town, great access to buses and trains. Plus the services is 10/10 generally seemed happy to help with every question asked and more than exceeded my expectations. Will come again, Thank you for a warm welcome 🙏

We had a wonderful 2 day stay at La Chaumiere, enjoying its cosy authentic and romantic ambience, views of the mountains and great service from the staff. We had a great dinner on arrival the first night and breakfast both days which offered many healthy options. We hope to be back in future!

I forgot to write a review here which I feel guilty about it because we had such an nice experience during our stay. The service is amazing, the foods are delicious and most importantly the dining ritual is perfect! You are asked in the morning about your choices and your table is booked in advance in restaurant. I would like to thank you to all staff working there! Merci Beaucoup! There is a ski room, there is nearby ski bus and train station. And we did not have a parking problem.

Très satisfait. J'avais la petite chambre individuelle en haut de l'escalier qui donne accès à toutes les chambres. C'était très calme, vue sur la montagne. L'accueil à l'arrivée et au départ était parfait. Je reviendrai.

Small hotel more or less central in Chamonix with a good view to the Montblanc. Rooms are clean, the staff was friendly, so anything could've been fine... if there weren't 2 big problems: 1st, the rooms don't have any closet or something similar, means you have to leave all clothes and stuff in your luggage. Quite uncomfortable, cause the rooms are not that big... 2nd, the food. Taste was average, nothin special, but ALL of the main dishes (burger, ravioli, BBQ-Ribs) are served almost cold. Even the coffee - which actually should've been brewed few seconds ago - is served cold. And honestly, noone but this hotel does NOT toast the burger buns... All in all, the hotel is okay to stay few nights, but there's some general things to improve so it can't be more than 3 star rating

Wonderful accommodations conveniently located beside the train station (free train ride to Chamonix main station). Friendly and helpful staff. Fantastic view or Mont Blanc. Tasty dinner!

Our room with a view of Mont Blanc was wonderful. You could see the mountains and the glacier from the bed. The staff were very kind, smiling, and flexible with everything. The hotel garden is a great place to sit with coffee in the morning or a drink in the evening. We watched the World Cup in the bar with other guests, and it was a really good evening. The food was delicious, and the half-board option was a good choice. When they didn’t have what we ordered, they brought us something else instead. The city center is easily reachable by bus, on foot, or by train."

Great service, great rooms, great food. Exactly what we wanted and not ridiculously expensive?

My wife and I stayed here for our honeymoon a few days before starting the TMB and will return for a night after. We absolutely love it and already can’t wait for our last night at the end of the TMB. The staff are so kind and helpful, the rooms are cozy and have beautiful views, and the breakfast is delicious and has many options (even for my wife, who is gluten free). It is also in a very fun part of town, close to trails but slightly removed from the major tourism area so it is a little bit quieter at night. Could not recommend more highly!

This is a great hotel with good breakfast and very friendly staff. The double room is really nice. The single room is tiny with an even tinier bathroom and very overpriced even for Chamonix. Stay here but get the double room.

It's a comfy place to stay, have nice bed and view on the breakfast space. The breakfast its nice and has diverse options! But the room that I stayed had a bad WiFi connection.

Nous étions de passage pour visiter Chamonix et nous avions réservé 2 nuits.|L’hôtel est situé le long d’une route très passagère et d’une ligne de chemin de fer….. le parking est pour 8 voitures et est toujours rempli. Notre voiture est restée le long de la route. Chambre minimaliste pour le tarif. Le petit déjeuner est peut être bien si vous arrivez à l’ouverture. Il était 8h45, plus de pain, plus de viennoiseries,plus de fromage, nous avons été obligé de réclamer à un membre du personnel qui ne parlait pas français et qui m’a demandé de parler en anglais !!!!! Un seul point positif, la personne de l’accueil.

Koselige rom, gammel stil og hjemmekoselig. Ingen AC på rom eller minibar/kjøleskap. 4 enkeltsanger på familerom. God service. De serverer også glutenfritt brød. Kort vei til sentrum, gangavstand. Gratis parkering. Flott ute areal med fin og rolig hage. Kort vei til tog og buss. Utsikt rett på Mont Blanc.

Petit hôtel familial. Idéalement placé près du centre de Chamonix. Accueil très sympathique. chambres fonctionnelles . Balcon face au mont blanc très apprécié avec une vue magnifique. Chambres très propres, literie confortable. Seule l’insonorisation manque….|Repas corrects, petits déjeuners très copieux et variés. Les vins sont un peu chers peut être.|Nous étions 4 couples et sommes restés 4 nuits. Tous étions très satisfaits de notre choix et avons passé 1 excellent séjour.

El lugar es un encanto. Típica construcción de montaña, de madera, decoración de la época. La habitación con vistas al Mont Blanc un sueño! Todo muy sencillo y sin lujos, y muy limpio. El desayuno delicioso con variedad de fiambre, panes, medialunas, frutas, quesos y huevo, yogur, granola, e infusiones. La cena es perfecta, pensada con un menú x día de 3 pasos. Recomiendo mucho!!

J'ai apprécié mon séjour à la Chaumière, les locaux sont adaptés à la pratique du ski, on y mange très bien et varié, le personnel est vraiment agréable, à l'écoute et l'on profite d'un repos agréable après les virées dans la montagne.

Lovely hotel 10 mins walk from town centre. Rooms are clean, warm and basic. Breakfast great, nice bar area. Evening meals are fixed menu and great French cuisine. The guys were very accommodating for our son who wasn’t too keen on the original menus. The best thing about this hotel is the staff. They are so lovely, always going out of their way to make sure their guests are having a good time. Very much recommended.

Un séjour merveilleux. Tous le personnel jusqu'à la propriétaire exceptionnel d'une gentillesse extraordinaire. Un hôtel très cocooning, une cuisine simple comme à la maison, un emplacement super. Vraiment je recommande à 300 pour 100, ne changeait rien hâte d'y retourner.

Vraiment un super hôtel que nous recommandons à 300 pour cent , bien situé , très cocooning...Gentillesse, bienveillance, un personnel comme on aimerait en voir partout, une directrice adorable avec ses clients avec son personnel et ça se ressent pendant le séjour.. Juste parfait... La cuisine simple, variée, comme à la maison et un petit déjeuner parfait. Vraiment rien à dire sur notre séjour si ce n'est Merci ne changeait rien et à très vite .

Nous sommes arrivés dans une chambre sans télévision dommage dans un hôtel en 2024 de ne pas avoir de télé. Salle de bain vraiment petite et chambre assez vieillotte et on entend les voisins parler le soir. Sinon bon repas et petit déjeuner.

Rated as a 2 stars hotel, I'd give it more. Great character, understated skiers hotel also good for other type of guests. Personnel was very friendly and atuned to our needs. Great breakfast, we loved it. Room was very comfortable with a nice ciew of the Montblanc and the Aiguille du Midi. Free parking on the hotel or in the street around the hotel. Nice location, ten minute walk from downtown and 50m from a bus and tram stop, which were free to use during our stay. Only minor point was a mold smell in the bathroom that could improve from air circulation. Oh, and no lifts, so it would be a problem for guests with reduced mobility.

Tolles Hotel mit gemütlichem Ambiente. Ein Gastgarten lädt zum Verweilen ein. Das Frühstück und Abendessen (Halbpension) war immer köstlich. Das Personal ist stets freundlich und erfüllt (fast) jeden Wunsch. Die ruhige Lage, trotz Strasse, mit ÖV-Anschluss (Bus und Bahn) ist ideal.

Stunning view from the room and especially the balcony. Extremely friendly and welcoming with a lovely garden to sit in and admire the views. The food looked excellent and we would definitely eat here next time.

Second séjour au Montain Lodge Emplacement idéal, stationnement relativement aisé, très proche du centre de Chamonix à pied et en bus gratuit avec la carte hôte. L'accueil est très chaleureux Chambre triple. Petit déjeuner complet et très bon La chambre est très agréable mais malheureusement cette fois la literie était très mauvaise ce qui n'était pas le cas lors de notre première visite. Sinon parfait

Hotel pequeño, familiar, se come aceptablemente bien, cómodo y a 15 minutos a pie del centro de Chamonix. Cumplió con mis expectativas. Es posible aparcar gratuitamente en la calle y acepta los perros.

We booked last minute for an overnight stay with a Mont Blanc view, and we’re pleasantly surprised and impressed for the star rating.The room was basic but it was spotlessly clean and had everything we needed including complimentary toiletries. Mont Blanc and Auguille du Midi views from the balcony and window when lying in bed, something you wouldn’t necessarily be blessed with in a higher rated hotel! Buffet breakfast was plentiful with good choices, and the staff were pleasant and friendly. Would recommend.

Lovely little mountain lodge hotel, really kind and attentive staff, good breakfast and dinners, plus comfy beds even if in compact rooms (some bathrooms v small). Everything was very clean and really well managed and just a 10 minute walk into town. Perfect place for getting up into the mountains.

Basic, but good value and well located.

Prima kamers maar wel warm en aan de krappe kant. Heerlijk verbleven, zeer vriendelijk personeel. Drie keer gedineerd, als veganist oké gegeten. Het ontbijt is super en je loopt in een paar minuten naar het centrum. Lekkere tuin om te zitten ook!

Ideale ligging, op 10 min wandelen van het centrum, rustig gelegen met rustige tuin en terras. Kamers zijn erg klein, badkamer nog kleiner, maar volstaat net. Onthaal was matig en weinig enthousiast/helpend/betrokken, de (nederlandse) dame die bij het onthaal zat bij vertrek maakte veel goed.

Nous avons choisi cet hôtel après avoir réalisé le TMB Tour du Mont Blanc. Nous remercions l'équipe pour son bon accueil. La chambre est très propre, les sanitaires sont individuels et également très propres. La restauration est de qualité et originale. Le petit déjeuner est excellent ! Nous sommes très satisfaits des prestations de cet hôtel. Nous y reviendrons !

Sensational stays here several times in the last 10 days. Staff is wonderful and friendly. Breakfast is local with cheeses and meats as well as fresh coffee, tea and fruit. Dinners are something else. Whilst there is a set 3 course menu for dinner that changes every night, it is very tasty and well prepared. The last night I stayed out was a beetroot gazpacho, beef teriyaki noodles with an amazing French twist, and a vanilla Mascarpone. The rooms are cosy and clean. The WiFi is functional. Only a short walk to the pedestrian zone in Chamonix.

Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a place to stay in Chamonix. Staff were excellent- very welcoming and also very helpful with any queries. Food was very good and i enjoyed the lovely mountain views from the dining room. A well run operation which makes everything easy. Rooms were lovely, if a bit small, but this is not that big of a problem as there is a nice downstairs seating area and also most of the time in beautiful Chamonix is spent outside exploring. Housekeeping every day so all felt very clean. Very close to a train stop and a bus stop which makes it easy to get up and down the valley, as well as a short walk into town. I have stayed in several mountain lodges over the years but this is definitely a stand out.

A nice little hotel near the city center. Rooms were clean and big enough to be comfortable. Views are amazing. Breakfast is simple but good (maybe add something hot like porridge?). Employees are super nice and friendly! Warm wishes to the younger lady who helped us the most with trek planning etc. Ja Sagalle terveisiä myös!

It was our first visit to Chamonix. We really enjoyed. Location of the hotel is perfect. Bus and train station in front. Ladies at the reception were very helpfull. We plan to visit again.

Had a great week staying here, great location! Has everything that is needed, and the service by the staff is above and beyond what would be expected!! The food was amazing along with the very friendly staff and atmosphere!! Will definitely stay here again!

Booked for two nights but only stayed one, terrible room, Booked a double room with Mountain View’s but was given what looked like a broom cupboard with a toilet in the corner No tv No kettle Bad wifi Thin walls you can hear other guests snoring Drove from England in a van and decided a night in the van was more comfortable and convenient than staying the extra night, completely ruined our trip and our experience/expectations of chamonix Beware before booking

This is a charming, tastefully furnished hotel, just a few minutes walk from the centre of Chamonix, and with outstanding views of Mt Blanc.

Chambre et lieu agréables, peut-être prévoir clim car dormir la fenêtre ouverte est agréable mais réveillés par les touristes qui prennent le petit déjeuner sur la terrasse . Au niveau du petit déjeuner, 11,50€ non justifié par rapport à ce qui est proposé. Il fallait attendre que les cafetières soient remplies pour déjeuner, le pain et les viennoiseries pas frais, pas beaucoup de choix par rapport à d autres hôtels qui offrent pour un moindre tarif plus de choix .

Nettes Hotel gutes Frühstück. Waren auf der Durchreise per Motorrad. Sehr nettes Personal. Lage direkt gegenüber des Mont Blanc tolle Aussicht. Zu Fuß ca. 10 Gehminuten bis Ortsmitte daher Nachts ruhig.

Very nice family run hotel reasonably well situated in Chamonix close to many of the shop & restaurants , excellent continental breakfast , has free parking , clean tidy spacious rooms some with balcony with views to die for , but we booked because of the excellent reviews about their restaurant and not wanting to go out on first night after a busy travelling day. We were told on arrival that this option was not available if we had known it could of determined of choice to stay. Website still says restaurant open . Would still use again but would ask first over phone. If this was of any help please give the thumbs up thanks enjoy your stay.

Passable Unterkunft, Bad etwas klein. Gutes und reichhaltiges Frühstück. Das Abendessen war gut und kräftig gewürzt. Sehr freundliches Personal. Schöner Garten und einen herrlichen Blick auf den Mont Blanc.

We had a wonderful stay in the Chaumiere. The breakfast offers everything you need, the dinner more than exceeded our expectations. There are also great alternative dishes for vegetarians. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The rooms are small but cozy and very clean. We will definitely come back and thank you for a great stay in wonderful Chamonix!

This place is really special. I rarely write reviews on anything, but this time I was so overwhelmed by the kindness and generosity of the hotel staff, all in addition to the perfect clean room, views, and delicious meals that I felt I had to say something. I want to give one anecdote for those of you coming to Chamonix for the mountain hikes and races. I did the UTMB/TDS and checked out the day of the race. They kindly offered to keep my luggage for a few days until I finished the race. NOT ONLY that. But the day I returned, they offered me the use of a beautiful bathroom to take a shower, with clean towels, soap and shampoo and all. And to top it all, they refused my offer to pay anything for it all. They simply said this is what the bathroom is for, and gave me a nice goodbye and wishing we meet again sometime in a future race. This is really like home away from home. I travel a lot.

Bonjour Nous avons séjourné 10 jours en demi pension. La chambre était spacieuse,( la salle de bain un peu exiguë) avec balcon et vue sur le mont blanc.Certes un peu sonore, mais rien de dramatique. L’emplacement a 10 mn a pied du centre de chamonix est ideal et il est possible de se garer sans trop de difficultés autour de l’hotel. Nous avons apprécié l’espace exterieur de l’hotel tres agreable en fin d’am et la possibilité d’y manger. Repas copieux et varies avec des recettes un peu à l’anglo saxonne…mais nul n’est parfait! Quelques suggestions cependant pouf le petit déjeuner du matin, primordial pour des randonneurs ou skieurs. Il serait bien d’ajouter de grilles pains . Ce n’est pas un investissement couteux, mais avoir du pain ou des tartines grillées, c’est encore mieux. Bien , les yaourts aux saveurs de fruits, mais ne pourriez vous pas trouver un producteur local vous fournissan

Super liebes Personal, von der Inhaberin bis hin zum Zimmermädchen. Nach einem Wanderausflug fühlt man sich wie daheim beim wiederkommen. Très belle expérience en été à la Chaumière. Nous n'avions pris que les nuits mais rien a redire. A 10 minutes à pied du centre, vue imprenable en sortant de l'hôtel sur le Mont Blanc. Et côté chambre, vue sur le Brevent au réveil, juste magnifique. Hâte de revenir lorsque les cols seront recouverts de neige!

Excellent place to stay in Chamonix. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful, they have a beautiful garden from where you can easily see Mont Blanc while having breakfast or relaxing in the evening. It is also 10 min walking from city center. I will probably be back and I can only recommend it.

La Chaumiere is the hotel I stay before each hike. The place is cosy, warm, tidy and the food is good. People working there are very kind and do their best to meet your wishes or needs. I will return there that is for sure.

Не смогу передать всю теплоту с которой нас встретил персонал. Очень отзывчивые работники, спросят «как дела», уточнять все детали пребывания чтобы было максимально комфортно. Цены демократичные, поесть стоит дешевле чем во многих других ресторанах, но при этом вкусно. Спасибо большое официанту, он был из Англии, очень поднял нам настроение! Спасибо всему персоналу за отличные 2 дня в вашей гостинице! Буду рекомендовать и обязательно вернусь.

L’hôtel est très bien placé à 15 minutes de marche du centre ville. La vue sur le mont blanc et le glacier des bossons y est superbe. Les menus sont variés et copieux. Les chambres ne sont pas très grandes mais propres. Le personnel est serviable et très professionnel. La gentillesse de la patronne mérite à elle seule que l’on s’arrête à la chaumière. Super hôtel restaurant authentique et charmant. On y mange très bien et le staff est super sympa et efficace. Les chambres sont agréables et la vue imprenable .

N'hesitez pas à diner là bas, bien moins cher que les restaurants de Chamonix, le chef est top, on s'est regalés! Chaque soir apporte son nouveau menu, merveilleux! Et bien sur Sam, notre serveur adoré, qui a su etre joyeux, attentif, et serviable en chaque instant, des gens comme lui sont rares dans ce milieu, merci pour ce moment! Je recommande cette maison avec plaisir!

Lieu parfait pour 1 week-end à Chamonix

Sehr nette Unterkunft mit schönem Garten. Uns waren die Zimmer groß genug. Bad sauber. Besonders nettes Personal und prima Essen. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt.

Suite à notre séjour du 4 au 8 septembre, je tiens à vous faire savoir que nous avons été ravies de séjourner dans votre hôtel. Les prestations sont à la hauteur du prix demandé et les repas sont copieux. Le personnel est super accueillant et s'intéresse aux activités de leur clientèle. De surcroît cet hôtel est à 10 minutes a pied du centre ville de Chamonix. Franchement c'était très commode pour se déplacer. Nous vous le recommandons vivement.

Établissement sympathique, bâtiment ancien, rénové, décoré avec goût, joli jardin et terrasse, repas vraiment excellent, faudrait juste éviter de saler les viandes et moins saler l'ensemble. Bon vins à la carte ! Bonne literie, chambres et sdb propres. Couloirs un peu sonores mais clientèle a priori plutôt calme. Le seul point très négatif, petit déjeuner tardif (7:30) et surtout refus de servir un simple café noir avant 9:00 alors que le personnel est présent (pour le petit déjeuner complet). Ça oblige les lève tôt à prendre la voiture pour prendre un simple café ou un petit déjeuner tôt. Ça, sincèrement c'est à améliorer !! Tout le monde ne mange pas le matin.

Délaissez les restos à touristes et préférez celui-ci qui ravira vos papilles et votre porte-monnaie. En bref, un établissement quasi parfait à ce prix. J'y reviendrai...

Charming place. Cosy rooms and great service.

It was a pleasure to stay at the Mountain Lodge. The food was excellent served by owner and staff for whom nothing was too much trouble. Overlook the size of the bathrooms and concentrate on the cleanliness of all the public areas. The staff made the holiday with the willingness to engage us in conversation and make sure that our holiday was special. I would definitely return.

This is a charming place to stay - it's 2 star rating does not do it justice. We stayed here for a ski trip and were half board - the food was nothing short of excellent, there is a comfortable bar area and the rooms are clean and pleasant with plenty of hooks to hang your ski gear on. Most importantly, the staff are all incredibly helpful and welcoming. Look no further, book a room here, you won't regret it !

Là pour une soirée et nuit avec mon conjoint, nous avons été ravis du service du restaurant et de la qualité de la cuisine. Notre chambre, elle, nous a convenu bien que nous étions un peu à l'étroit (la salle de bain était minuscule, les WC non séparés). Nous nous attendions à un meilleur aménagement des locaux, et retiendrons davantage de la Chaumière, la qualité de l'accueil et de son restaurant.

Very convenient - just out of the village centre - and family and group friendly with all facilities. Excellent food in the restaurant.

Vu magnifique depuis la chambre sur l'aiguille du midi et le glacier des bossons. La chambre et le coin salle de bain sont suffisants avec une propreté impeccable. Les repas de la demi-pension sont variés gourmands et équilibrées. Le personnel de cet établissement est agréable et à l'écoute de vos envies, toujours prêts à vous satisfaire. Short stay. Hotel is in a great location as you can ride a bus to the town or to the slopes. Bed was very comfy and shower was very warm. All staff extremely friendly which made the stay very pleasant. Would definitely return.

Тихо, спокойно и по-домашнему,вид на горы со всех номеров.Персонал приветлив и почтителен,владеют несколькими языками (значит бартера не будет в общении). Чисто и аккуратно в номерах,уборка и замена полотенец каждый день. На ужин предлагают только то,что приготовил повар-итальянец(блюдо дня:салат,горячее и десерт),но всё вкусно.)))

Trevligt och fint skidhotell på gångavstånd från centrum. Rent och trevlig personal. Bra bar och restaurang. Bra hjälp med information och tips. Nära till buss och lokaltåg. Mycket bra och prisvärd frukost.

If you are going to ski then you are going to be tired and possibly sore every day. The most important things then are: good food, a hot shower and a comfy bed. La Chaumiere delivers on all three. The photos on the website show the rooms to be more modern than they are, but, this is an affordable lodge and not meant to be five star. The food was excellent - fantastic French dinners. The staff are great - helpful and friendly. Location is good because you are next to the bus stop and train station - and you don't want to be in the middle of town.

A home form home. I can't give it five stars but that is not what La Chaumiere is aiming for. They appear to me to be aiming for simple comfort at a reasonable price. functional accommodation for climbers and trekkers. Good memories for us, we would definitely use it again.

I've stayed at Le Chaumiere many times. The staff are super pleasant and friendly - I doubt there is a hotel in France where you'd get such a warm welcome and help throughout your stay. The food too is excellent - probably the best priced, quality and most tasty offering in the valley, so worth a visit even if you're not staying. Importantly, the beds and sheets of good white cotton are just terrific too - I always sleep well. Getting into town is easy, as the bus and the train stop outside the door (well 30 metres away). If you want to go skiing or walking, or climbing at either end of the valley, you don't need a car, as the train drops you off at Vallorcine for skiing at Les Tours, for example, or at Argentiere for Les Grands Montets or the bus at les Houches, and all points in between. Le Chaumiere is a great place - you should stay there!
