Super soirée au bord du lac de Montriond avec 2 pizzas (raclette et chèvre miel) ainsi que 2 cocktails (virgin) pour 36€, c'est donné ! Le pizzaiolo était super sympa ! Par contre il indiquait une offre à 15.50€ la margarita + le cocktail mais c'était l'été dernier ...

This review is about the food in particular. During a large snowboard camp, for dinner, which had a predetermined menu which we only knew on the night, they served us a couple of very inadequate mains. One was only cauliflower and couscous, another was only a Caesar salad with the tiniest single skewer of chicken I've ever seen, both very lacking in protein. We made our frustrations clear at the time but there was no attempt to bring out more protein for us. We were all left hungry after a full day of snowboarding. The kitchen staff seemed rather disorganised and inexperienced in general.

Thank you so much to the team at Hotel Du Lac for another amazing stay. From start to finish, the staff were wonderful and truly go above and beyond to make sure guests have everything they need. The hotel is spotless, beautifully clean, stylish, and set in the most incredible location overlooking the lake. The food is delicious and a highlight of our visit. The only small suggestion I would make is that for guests staying a full week, it might be nice to have a couple of additional dinner options to add a little more variety — perhaps something like tartiflette or a chicken dish. This would be especially appreciated by those dining at the hotel throughout their stay. Thank you again for being so welcoming and accommodating, and for helping us create such fantastic memories during a chaotic half term week!

Had a great experience in February this year, this was our fourth stay here. The staff are all so friendly and helpful, when buses weren’t running or we wanted to get into town they rescued us and helped us get around. Clem is great behind the bar and Collette is awesome in the restaurant, we will be back!

Lovely little 20 room hotel with family rooms. Amazing views of the lake and mountains. Free ski buses stop outside to Morzine or Ardent. Lovely food. Great lounge area with big leather sofas and wood burner fire. Amazing owner Kyle who goes beyond to be helpful and very friendly approachable staff who are great with children. Diva, one of the waitresses was so lovely when the children did a thank you drawing and note and collected all the kitchen staff and waitresses to share in the thank you. The children loved it. Thank You.

We recently stayed at this hotel for a sking holiday which is in a lovely location the rooms were great and cleaned perfectly every day. Just a few issues the heated towel in the bathroom kept switching off ? I did ask twice for this to be sorted but still not fixed ? The breakfast was fine but one morning There was no boiled eggs 😕 which we did ask for but was just told no eggs . The restaurant was great just a shame menu wasn't changed all week. Did ask re shuttle to town & slopes but told not available . But we did enjoy our Stay & sking was fabulous .

Vu magnifique. Les chambres simples jolies et fonctionnelles, la literie est parfaite. Petit déjeuner avec un grand choix. Accueil avant et pendant très agréable et efficace c’est bien appréciable. On reviendra.

Des prix exorbitants au bar.. il n'y a même pas de service.. à vous de commander au bar et d'attendre votre commande en plus. Chocolat chaud servit tiède voir quasiment froid. Dommage, malgré ça c'est un bel établissement.

Amazing! What a great hotel in the most beautiful location! Very clean, stylish interior, comfortable rooms/beds and delicious breakfast. We couldn’t have asked for more. I was much nicer than staying in Morzine center and cheaper too.

Le restaurant propose des soirées à thème qui permettent de manger plein de choses différentes chaques soirs. Lovely hotel with a nice, relaxed vibe. It’s not trying to be pretentious, it’s just right. Staff are amazing and location is perfect. Our third year coming for a long weekend and visited in a group of 6. We hired electric mountain bikes this year and all had a great time riding the Joux Verte. Thoroughly recommend this place and we will be back.

Beautiful hotel. Really friendly and after 3 weeks traveling in France very strange to find most of the staff to be english. We had a great time. Rooms are spotless and super comfortable beds. Breakfast was delicious and the boiled eggs were mollet so nice runny yolks. We had a great stay and will be back.

Sehr schönes, modernes Hotel in einmaliger Lage. Frühstück war top, sehr frisch plus Illy Kaffee (sagt alles). Personal sehr freundlich und super locker. Insgesamt eine coole australische Surfer Athmosphäre. Der See ist einmalig, sehr viele Aktivitäten wie Yoga, SUP, Kanu, Spielplatz, Spaziergänge etc. Im Zimmer gibt es keinen Fernseher. Es gibt keinen Aufzug für die Etagen, ist aber locker machbar.

Très bonne expérience. L'emplacement est idéal, les chambres spacieuses et l'équipe de saisonniers est très avenant. Très bon rapport qualité-prix également. Seul "bémol", la raclette était tellement bonne que j'ai mis une journée à m'en remettre !

Went for the sausage and cider festival - live music, wide range of sausages and cider. Fantastic setting next to Lax du Montriond Shuttle bus to and from morzine is a great idea

Haven't stayed but the food is great, with a decent drinks selection, and I love the events they put on. You can't really beat a decent festival on the edge of such a beautiful lake.

Spent a week at the hotel as part of a retreat and cannot thank the staff enough for their tireless hard work. The food’s good, the cocktails and wine and beer excellent and the location by the lake is perfect. Already missing our holiday. Rooms are clean and comfortable.

We stayed there for one night it was very charming room, clean and with a large bed and modern shower. The team are peaking many languages which make you feel immediately home ❤️ They have their own soap which is very appreciable. The restaurant for diner was also great generous and tasty with a delicate touch of attention.

Customer service was absolutely incredible, brilliant location, the bus stop next to it is the last one before the bubble up the mountain. I came here with my dad and little brother at the end of the season in like April or something but incredible views. Oh and Kyle is the goat, such good service, would recommend

Wonderful hotel, in a beautiful and super convenient location. All of the team at Hotel du Lac are lovely and very helpful. Breakfast offers every you could want before hitting the hill and the restaurant serves incredible food in the evening. The cocktails at the bar are decent too… we shall be making this our base every time we visit PDS from now on 🙏🏻

Second trip to hotel du lac this year, was there in mid winter and then this time in the spring sunshine. Beautiful location right next to the lake, amazing views over the water. Came over with the kids and enjoyed some slushy snowboarding in the sunshine. The hotel is the second to last stop before the ardent bubble so you can be at the lift on the free bus very quickly. Even managed a to get up the day of our flight. Staff were all super friendly and helpful, even Kyle. Food was great, can recommend the raclette night and the pizza in particular. We had planned to go out in Morzine but hotel was such a nice place to chill that we just stayed put. Also a children’s play park right next to the hotel by the lake so youngest played in there. Will be back next year for sure!

Had the most incredible time staying at this hotel for a week in February. The team couldn’t have done any more to make our stay a relaxing and pleasant one… brilliant staff, comfortable accommodation that couldn’t be in a more beautiful location (and super close to the lifts), and a raclette to bloomin die for - just watch out for the all you can drink red wine 🍷 😅

Je n'ai pas l'habitude de mettre de mauvais commentaire. J'étais en week-end découverte en Haute-Savoie. Je m'arrête à cet endroit pour aller au restaurant sans réservation. La serveuse me dit qu'elle n'a plus de table pour moi. Ok pas de soucis je n'ai pas réservé. Un couple derrière moi demande aussi une table sans réservation et ils se font placé sur une table. Le chiffre avant tout bien entendu. J'ai été au restaurant en face le Lac Tél où j'ai été acceptée gentillement.

Really cracking wee hotel: lovely room, amazing food and lovely staff. We spent a long weekend skiing. '5 stars for location?' I hear you say. Definitely. I've stayed in Morzine before and the Supermorzine lift was a right hassle, and the bus up to Avoriaz lift busy. Hotel du lac is 7mins by free bus to the Ardent lift: which gets you right into the centre of the resort. Great place.

My new favourite alpine hotel. Staff are lovely; friendly and helpful. The food is fantastic; freshly made and delicious, as well as a la carte they do incredible pizzas from the wood burning oven. Don’t forget to try the cocktails - ginger margueritas my favourite. They also do a free taxi service (thanks Andrew!) to Morzine if you fancy Asian food one evening ( the Hideout; fantastic). Breakfast - everything you need - fresh bread/patisserie, cheese/meats/eggs, fruit and yogurt. Our room was spacious and spotlessly clean with a balcony that got the afternoon sun. And a free shuttle bus stops right outside to take you to the slopes. Think it would be just as lovely in the summer. Highly recommended.

Just love this place - second time staying here, and it’s even better than the first time. Location is amazing for the ardent bubble, straight up to Lindaret, and up and away before the masses appear - even at half term: The hotel is exceptional. Clean, cosy, friendly and homely. The lounge at the side of the reataurant is really cosy - even watched our own movies. I mentioned I was gluten free a week before my trip, and they arranged gluten free oats for their speciality overnight soaked oats - up and above. Cannot recommend this place highly enough - attention to detail - and a home from home. Thanks hotel du lac!

We recently spent 3 nights in Hotel Du Lac with some friends for a ski trip and we all had a brilliant time. The hotel is situated overlooking the beautiful Lac and is perfectly located on the road up to the Ardent lifts which are about 5 mins on the courtesy ski-bus that regularly passes the hotel entrance with the bus stop just opposite. The hotel is relaxed chilled vibes with a great bar and fantastic restaurant. The cocktails are great and plenty of good beers on draught and decent wine list. We ate in the restaurant twice, both fantastic, pizza our first night and steak on our final night. All staff were very friendly and couldn't do enough for us during our stay from Kyle the owner, Collette front of house and all the other hotel staff. Collette sorted all our ski passes and linked us in with the local ski hire place (Montages) with discount. We used the courtesy hotel taxi to

Cet hôtel à proximité de la télécabine d'Ardent offre tout le confort nécessaire à un excellent séjour. Le personnel est jeune et au petit soins. Merci à Colette pour son sourire et son accueil agréable. Le salon cheminée apporte un agrément apprécié au retour d'une journée de ski. Le restaurant mérite un détours. Les plats sont goûteux et très bien exécutés. Ce n'est pas notre première visite, ni notre dernière. Merci à toute l'équipe.

Hôtel refait ds sa deco.nous étions venu il y a 20 ans.1200 euros pour 4 nuits avec les petits déjeuners (très quelconque…).chambre propre avec un nettoyage simple ts les jours.moyennement insonorisé.personnel très jeune mais investi et compétent.donc ds l ensemble un peu cher pour les prestations mais merci au personnel.

Havnt stayed at the hotel but eaten a few times and can’t fault a thing! Raclette is amazing (especially when all you eat for €30 and unlimited wine), pizzas are superb and their Sunday roast is just ‘the business’! Great location and worth a visit for food and drinks.

La restauration est très décevante et pas assez copieuse. Aucun tarif n’est indiqué sur le panneau ni même communiqué lors de la prise de commande et le tarif est excessif pour la qualité.

Emplacement de l’hôtel très bien situé et parking devant accessible aux clients de l’hôtel mais trop petit. En ce qui concerne la chambre, nous avons été très déçu car beaucoup trop petite et grand manque d’équipement: pas de tv, mini-bat, pas d’armoires, de chaises ou de bureaux. Il n’y a également pas de Clim, ce qui fait qu’il fait beaucoup trop vite chaud la nuit mais impossible de dormir avec la fenêtre ouverte car trop de bruits à l’extérieur avec la salle des fêtes ou la musique du bar. La ventilation de la salle de bain fait un bruit assourdissant et agaçant quand on allume la lumière. De plus, le lavabo est beaucoup trop petit, on en met partout pour se rincer le visage (c’est plutôt un évier de wc pour se laver les mains). En ce qui concerne la propreté, elle était bien à notre arrivée mais pas top pendant le séjour ( chambre pas aspirée une seule fois durant celui-ci). De plu

Personnel aimable, accueillant et l’hôtel en lui même est bien satisfaisant. Restauration et bar : rien à dire, très bonne qualité ! Presque un sans faute pour l’expérience vécue. Dans l’ensemble, nous le recommandons. Mais… Seul et gros point négatif à notre goût et qui voit automatiquement la note baisser : Nous avons été surpris de ne pas bénéficier d’un accès parking privé réservé à la clientèle de l’hôtel (même avec supplément ma foi?) lors de notre arrivée où on nous suggère « d’attendre fin de journée que ça se calme » En tant que client et ayant payé notre hébergement, cela nous semblait juste et logique d’être priorisé aux personnes étrangères à l’établissement. Pour ce point, dommage ! edit : + contravention de 35€ suite à un stationnement « gênant » mais conseillé par le personnel de l’accueil.

after all my travels I had never experienced that I had to pay for my Expresso and Cappuccino at breakfast, that was included in the room rate, it is not about the monies, it is about the cheapness of an otherwise nice establishment, very disappointed as the room was great and the food at restaurant very yummy and the bar was full of great cocktails, sadly we wont be returning to that place

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour à l'hôtel. La chambre est agréable, propre. Le service restaurant est juste un régal pour les papilles. L'hôtel est très bien situé, au bord du lac, qui permet d'avoir un point de baignade, et des activités tel paddle ou canoé, une air de jeu pour les enfants, un accès rapide au départ de diverses randonnées pour les amateurs de la discipline. Le personnel est d'une extrême gentillesse ! Merci à toute l'équipe de l'hôtel d'avoir fait de notre séjour, un magnifique souvenir, nous sommes rentrés dans notre Alsace avec un pincement au cœur..... Nous recommandons vivement l'hôtel du Lac. On a passée le séjour agréable mais j étais surprise que nous n avons pas la television dans la chambre . OUPS Si non on a bien régalé avec les pizzas et les BBQ sans oublié les petits déjeuner.

Chambre réservée début Août. Points positifs, super personnel très agréable et réactif. Belle emplacement de l hôtel avec vu sur le lac en fonction de la chambre. Pts négatifs, Pas de places de parking réservées pour les clients donc impossible mais vraiment impossible de trouver une place de parking avant 20h.... Pas de climatisation dans la chambre, donc gros problème pdt les périodes de fortes chaleurs, si on ouvre la fenêtre malheureusement il y a la musique du bar qui vous empêche de dormir.... Pas de TV. Le CHEK IN à 16h... Et le CHEK OUT à 10h...

Je n'ai utilisé que le service restauration mais c'était excellent et le personnel était très accueillant. La vue sur le lac depuis la terrasse est très jolie

I’ve never left a google review before, but I just had to for Hotel du Lac. It is a very special place and possibly the best hotel I’ve ever been too. Myself and my wife, have been to the hotel multiple times, and even got married here. It really is a special place. The location is absolutely breathtaking. Every single staff member genuinely wants you to have a good time. They are all professional, but also friendly and let their own personalities shine. The food is outstanding every single time! It’s a fantastic base for us to do what we enjoy, that is training, hiking, running and being outdoors. The hotel put on live music, BBQ’S, special nights of food and other events weekly and throughout the year. I really can’t praise the whole team enough. Top location, lieve zorgzaame medewerkers. Kamers zijn niet perzee groot maar hebben alles wat je nodig hebt. De zalm was echt heerlijk. En de spicy margarita is een aanraader.

Très déçu de la restauration. Entrée avec un goût bizarre. On le fait remarqué mais c est notre palais qui n ai pas habitué d après le chef. Le filet de truite est un demi filet beaucoup trop cuit. Pas un geste commercial. Je déconseille fortement plus le prix de la note excessif

L'hôtel a été très bien rénové. La literie est impeccable ainsi que les installations dans les chambres. L'hôtel ne donne pas directement sur le lac donc la vue n'est pas non plus à couper le souffle. Les balconnets restent agréables pour une lecture en fin de soirée. Le petit déjeuner est complet avec des verrines de flocons d'avoine plutôt bonnes. N'oubliez pas de demander si vous voulez des cafés spéciaux.

Hôtel situé dans un lieu exceptionnel,au bord du lac de Montriond. La chambre était trèèèèès petite mais avec une petite terrasse avec vue sur le lac. Nous avons mangé au resto de l'hôtel,pas très copieux et cher avec en bonus des serveurs et serveuses qui se traitaient de jolis petits noms d'oiseaux devant la clientèle dont des enfants ! Du jamais vu pour nous ! Une grande première ! Mais que fait la direction 🤔🤔🤔🤔 ? Au faite : n'oubliez pas d'activer Google traduction, la plupart des employés parlent un français approximatif et majoritairement anglais !

Amazing place with outstanding staff! They went above and beyond to accommodate group of four plus dog tonight to watch the England football match and let us eat in beautiful room while watching match. Many thanks to all for a wonderful evening. The food was superb along with wine and beer but the staff made it extra special! We will be back!

Very disappointing lunch here today, the chicken ceaser salad was inedible, the chicken seemed to have been cooked in old dirty oil and over cooked to a crisp, you think it wouldn’t be hard to get a salad right. The location is lovely, staff reasonable friendly but food poor, except for the salmon rilette which was good, bread rolls were stale too. We expressed our disappointment, the first waiter didn’t seem to bothered, the 2nd staff member didn’t seem too bothered either when I was paying bill, she said are you the ones who sent it back, no that must of been someone else I explained. As she took card payment she asked me if I wanted it deducted from bill, this seemed a token gesture given debit card had been taken. Maybe we were unlucky but can’t see me rushing back.

We've had a few meals here and it's always been wonderful. Excellent, attentive service and delicious food. The chicken parfait is incredible and huge so choose your main wisely 🤣

Chambre minimaliste , pas même une chaise pour s’assoir. Literie confortable , petit déjeuner correct. Avions demandé et payé pour une chambre premium spécifique en étage élevé. On nous a attribué une autre chambre en dessous. Aucun effort n’a été fait pour nous satisfaire. Finalement avons obtenu une autre chambre en étage élevé après deux heures. Accueil et Check out très froid du personnel, nous n’avons pas souhaiter consommer sur place, ne nous sentant pas welcome. Finalement , j’ai été mieux accueillie dans des hôtels de chaîne bien moins chers. Mieux vaut maîtriser l’anglais car bien qu’en France on nous a demandé d’utiliser l’anglais pour communiquer. Il existe des petits hôtels bien plus sympathiques pour cette destination. Nous ne reviendrons pas à l’hôtel du lac , aucun charme et sans âme

I have to applaud the breakfast playlist. Break Stuff by Limp Bizkit is not something you hear often in public spaces and although it did not agree with the music taste of some of the other guests, I thought it was marvellous, rocking out whilst eating tasty overnight oats and sipping my morning coffee. It got me fired up and ready to hit the slopes for the day. Absolutely epic. All in all it was another fabulous stay in the Hotel Du Lac. The location is stunning. Waking up every morning to views over the Lac never gets old and the bus service to Ardent is perfect for heading up to the slopes. The boot room is great for drying off your wet ski gear at the end of the day and there are also communal towels and a shower to use if you have already checked out, but have a ski before your journey back home. We ate from the restaurant in the evening and the food was sublime. I can highly

Lovely location and modern interiors, could have been cleaner in some areas in the lounge. Went for a hot chocolate (€6) could have been more rich and wasn’t steaming hot. Very friendly staff and overall a nice place

I have just returned from a fabulous stay at Hotel du Lac. I was visiting the area on a work trip and booked a short stay. It was the perfect place to stay. Super calm, peaceful and idyllically positioned on the lake front. The hotel was extremely clean, with big comfy beds, and a lovely lounge/bar area to relax in. I couldn't recommend this hotel highly enough if you're looking for a relaxing place to stay just minutes away from Montriond/Morzine and the ski lifts.

I've been here twice for dinner during the Christmas holidays. The staff are friendly and helpful and we had excellent cocktails by the fire before being seated for our meal. The dishes were delicious and they had vegetarian options for me and my partner. Last Christmas they even had champagne tasting! Worth the trip up the mountain. Highly recommended.

Unfortunately there is no hair dryer in the room...and in case you have booked a double standard expect the bed size to be 1.60m… sharing only one big blanket for two persons....

Ohh wow!! We absolutely love this hotel and the staff! We were a last minute booking for Christmas eve to 27th Dec 2023. Staff were friendly and helpful from the moment we stepped into the hotel and genuinely want you to have a great stay, and the restaurant manager is easily the best host ever. The food is exquisite, we had the best Sunday Lunch and our Christmas day meal blew us away and made our holiday christmas very special. The hotel has an amazing view of the Lac De Montriond, the rooms are immaculate and the decor of the hotel is on point and we felt it was worth every penny, we will be back for sure! There is free parking and a short 5minite drive to skiing or a bus close by for convenient access to the slopes. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE! Can't recommend Hotel Du Lac enough.

Réservation faite tardivement pour une petite nuit à la fraîche. Gros point fort : l'emplacement cadre et vue exceptionnels. Chambre très bien agencée et décorée. Le repas que nous avons pris était aussi relativement bon. Les bémols : insonorisation quasi nulle, on entends tout ce qui se passe dans les chambres à côté et dans le couloir, et aussi les discussions des employés en dessous de la chambre, fenêtre ouverte heureusement. Mail automatique reçu avant même notre arrivée nous indiquant l'heure de départ le lendemain. Moyen. Comme le CO à 10h max, c'est tôt pour un hôtel loisirs. Enfin, serveurs clairement pas à notre goût au restaurant le soir, trop familiers et bruyants. Ça dénote avec le cadre.

Thank you for a wonderful holiday. From the food, to the room to the incredible team running the hotel we had a beautiful week with you all. It's a rare mix of a relaxed vibe with utmost professionalism, funky charm with contemporary deco and comfort. The rooms were perfect and I love the fact there is no TV, I feel they are so outdated in rooms these days. The location worked brilliantly for full-on cycling days and total hanging out by the lake days. The chef is a genius; his Morzine trout deserves stars. But above all, the staff are warm, welcoming and just superbe. Can't wait to see you all again soon, Helen

L'hôtel semble avoir été récemment modernisé, pour autant l'insonorisation n'est pas au top (sans doute pour ça qu'il n'y a pas de télé dans les chambres) particulièrement entre les étages. On entend bien les "voisins" du dessus 😬 Sinon, le confort de base est bien présent. On peut toutefois regretter que les produits d'hygiène se limitent à un pauvre distributeur style "pousse mousse" mixte shampooing et gel douche, pas de verre à dent non plus : le minimum.

Restaurant qui propose des plats bistonomiques bien travaillés. Tout les plats étaient réussis. Ajouté à ça un service parfait et une terrasse avec une vue paradisiaque et vous obtenez une recette parfaite pour un super déjeuner.

Abbiamo soggiornato all'Hotel du Lac per 10 giorni, in cerca di relax e aria fresca. Il posto è stato recentemente rinnovato e la struttura è pulita, moderna e accogliente. Il punto di forza è lo staff, che si fa in quattro per accontentare gli ospiti dell'hotel e del ristorante. Remi, Florence e tutti i ragazzi sono stati il valore aggiunto di questi 10 giorni. Ottima la possibilità di mangiare in hotel, anche se il servizio di Hamburger andrebbe esteso a tutti i giorni della settimana. Non all'altezza i servizi delle camere, che ricordano più un ostello che un hotel. In generale esperienza molto positiva, speriamo di tornare e di ritrovare lo stesso entusiasmo!

Abbiamo alloggiato in questo hotel per 10 giorni e vi lascio qui di seguito i pro e i contro. Pro: - lo staff è sicuramente il punto di forza, tutti giovani e molto attenti. Un grazie particolare a Remy e Florence che sono stati eccezionali durante la nostra vacanza. - la posizione: il lago è incantevole e permette di fare tanti sport; - i cocktail e il ristorante: le serate a tema sono ben organizzate e abbiamo mangiato sempre bene. Contro: - Il prezzo non in linea con la qualità della stanza dataci; - il cambio asciugamani lo abbiamo sofferto molto perché non avviene tutti i giorni, per una famiglia con un neonato non è stato il massimo; - il parcheggio: il lago è molto frequentato e spesso non trovavamo posto se ci allontanavamo per andare in paese. Spero che questi spunti di miglioramento servano allo staff e alla gestione per migliorare! Con queste piccole migliorie ci torneremo vol

L'environnement de l'hôtel est incroyable; au bord du lac, c'est l'idéal pour se ressourcer. En famille, en couple ou solo, l'hôtel saura vous accueillir. Les chambres sont propres et minimalistes. L'accueil est agréable et le personnel à l'écoute des demandes. Le bar, le barman et l'équipe sont très sympas. Ayant séjourné pour un séjour en solo, l'équipe a été ultra accueillante et sympathique. Je recommande l'hôtel pour son cadre dans la nature, reposant et agréable. Le plus: l'option massage.

We have just had a fab weekend here, super hotel, lovely staff, we loved them all! very friendly and helpful, lovely food. Beds very comfortable and room was excellent, with a view of the lake. No need for extras in a room as lovely as that, waste of money anyway. Certainly not a budget hotel, money was spent on those fittings and that huge bed. Beautiful surroundings and terraces. Short walking distance into cute village of Montriond, in fact I walked to bigger Morzine from there, but there are free, regular shuttle buses from the lake to Montriond (and probably Morzine) anyway. Slight mix up with our booking for the barbecue on Sunday night ( they couldn't find it!) but they said no problem and seated us and fed us anyway. Will definitely go back.

Je suis enceinte de 9mois je demande un cocktail sans alcool et mon compagnon un cocktail avec. Quand on nous les amènes on m’affirme à plusieurs reprise que celui que j’ai est sans alcool du coup je bois. Surprise il y a du rhum dans mon verre. J’ai pourtant demandé plusieurs fois si ils étaient sur. Très grave !

We absolutely LOVE this place, we visit morzine 2-3 times a year and it’s always some where we come back too. We feel like regulars now, Elodie, Reemi and all the other staff are incredible and so friendly. Always such a laugh! The chef is AMAZING, you have to get any of his fish dishes!! Beats all the famous fish restaurants in London! We had a bbq here the day after our wedding and had the best time! Everyone loved the food and the cocktails (mainly the Pina Colada’s) we then accidentally left our guest book at the hotel, which we completely forgot to get anyone to sign, as we were having too much fun! When we got the book back the whole hotel team had signed it! 🤍🥹 Thank you, we love you and see you at Christmas!!! 🍻🍷🍸🍹🥂

Ce petit hôtel est très beau et adapté au panorama. il est situé à 2 min à pied du Baron du lac une immense salle de fête/ réception. Il n'y a pas d'ascenseur donc pour les personnes ayant de la difficulté à ce déplacé ce n'est à éviter et aucun accès aux étages avec ascenseur. Le personnel ne parle pas où murmurent quelques mots en français la langue du pays ce qui est très peut acceptable d'un hôtel.

There were a few nice men that worked there that were helpful, and upon check in a blond lady that helped drag our large suitcases up three flights of stairs. No elevator. Two women in the lobby and restaurant were horrible and rude. We had no car and no way to get any food. They said they could not give us any dinner because we did not have a reservation. No matter how long we waited. There was nowhere within walking distance and we had no car. We had been part of a large wedding group, many had stayed thee. Very, rude woman! And we had to drag all our large luggage down three flights of stairs by ourselves. I am a senior citizen, and I have bad knees. The stairs were awful, and so was this hotel.

Vous voulez du dépaysement ? C'est le bon endroit. Ici la langue principale est l'anglais. Pas d'inquiétude le personnel parle aussi le français. C'est un endroit où l'on se sent très bien. Le personnel est génial. Sympa, dévoué, prêt à vous renseigner sur tout. Les chambres sont propres et la literie est un pur bonheur. Dommage qu'il n'y ait pas de tv. Mais pour parer à cela, il y a une salle avec la tv commune, la petite cheminée et des assises tout confort. La terrasse extérieure fermée est parfaite pour y boire un verre, un chocolat chaud, fumer... si vous avez froid il y a des plaids à disposition et des chauffages à gaz. Le repas écossais du dimanche soir était délicieux 😋. Le petit déjeuner n'est pas très varié mais il y a l'essentiel Ne passez pas à côté de cette adresse.

We stayed 3 nights this February for a short ski holiday. The check in was easy the staff were accommodating and friendly! The room was huge and ample storage space. The facilities such as restaurant, bar, outdoor seating area, lounge all had a lovely atmosphere and inviting for guests not withstanding the beautiful lake.. the ski bus was regular and easy to navigate to the slopes. As a skier the ardent lift which is 5 min bus trip was quiet, no queues. Lovely few bars at the bottom for apres ski. The hotel food and service in the restaurant was fabulous.. raclette night was so special!! Breakfast was good quality with a varied selection. The shuttle bus into town was very convenient when it was available to guests and Andrew the driver was so lovely.. L’hôtel est mis en valeur par la gentillesse du personnel, leur écoute, la localisation et la qualité des chambres. Si vous ne séjournez pas à l’hôtel, on vous recommande vivement le restaurant et le bar !

Nous n'avons testé que le bar qui était vraiment chouette. L'hôtel est situé en surplomb du lac où on peut faire de la plongée sous glace. Les 2 salons sont très agréables, les serveuses souriantes et attentionnées, des tisanes faites maison et des prix très corrects.

This hotel and restuarant was one of the best I've stayed in, and I don't say that lightly. The staff were very helpful and friendly, especially Remi's exceptional customer service, openess and attention to small details. Munro's presence at the bar was expert, as was his customer service. The sunday roast dinner was so tasty. The rooms were warm, clean, comfortable and well equiped with modern appliances. If you want to ski, the free ski bus picks you up right outside the main door. There is a ski boot drying room as well in the basement. There is also free parking outside and a beautiful lake. The breakfasts are delicious. Thank you all once again, you are doing an amazing job!!! I will take my family here one fine day, no doubt. Grateful to have stayed here. Merci beaucoup!!

Very good food and great service

We absolutely loved our stay here this past week. The hotel staff are some of the most helpful / friendliest I’ve experienced in some time. Special shout out to Remi and Monroe for making us feel so welcome. The hotel is slightly out of town so you will need a car to go out for dinner etc. however in the day the bus stop is right out side so it’s very easy to get to the slopes (5mins) the bar has a great atmosphere and the cocktails are delicious. The food in the restaurant is fantastic- a little pricey but it’s such good quality food. Breakfast in the morning is self service and fresh croissants are amazing!! The rooms are very comfy and quiet. Big beds. The only thing think it’s missing is a tv in the room and your own kettle (there is one for guests to use downstairs, but sometimes nice to have one in bed). We will definitely be back!

Nous avons passé un séjour en amoureux excellent. Nous avons tellement apprécié l’accueil au bar et la déco chaleureuse. Les plats délicieux et le service au restaurant exceptionnel. La chambre, très reposant, sans télé, invite à apprécier le moment, le magnifique paysage et la bonne compagnie.

This is a belated review, acknowledgement, and thank you to the Hotel du Lac team for doing a superb job of feeding and watering friends and family, rescuing my and my wife’s wedding celebration a month ago. Our original catering arrangements fell through less than three weeks before the event, leading to a panicked search for help. Kyle from Hotel du Lac got in touch and from the start was positive, precise, warm and helpful, providing much needed reassurance. Arrangements were handled by Gallia, who was brilliant and conscientious, asking all the right questions and giving us a lot of strong suggestions and guidance. Within a week we had a good skeleton plan in place, and Gallia and the team kept honing arrangements - their communications were fab. The night before, we had a family meal scheduled at Hotel du Lac that phit a snag due to a storm-induced blackout; Kyle, Remi and the team

Très agréable bien tenu bonne table parfait

Ate here recently during the quiet season. The food was excellent. Bavette steak perfectly cooked and the paleron was melt in the mouth. Good portion sizes too. Excellent beers (the cherry kriek beer is delicous). Slightly disappointed by dessert as it was evident that a pistachio flavouring had been used in the creme brulee instead of a pure pistachio paste judging from it's taste and bright green appearance, but, it was tasty nonetheless and well made and not worth being bothered by. But most of all, the service was first class. Attentive but not crowding, made excellent recommendations, friendly and also immediately asked if we would like water for our dog. Memorable service goes a milion miles - thank you.

Difficile de donner une note sans séparer l’hôte du restaurant. J’aurais envie de noter le restaurant entre 3 et 4, le personnel de ce dernier a 4 et l’hôtel a 1 et encore. Au niveau du restaurant rien à dire, personnel à l’écoute, aimable et serviable. Carte courte mais tout à fait correct et très bon malgré des prix un peu élevés. La ou ça se gâte c’est au niveau de l’hôtel, déplorable. Des prix complètement déments, des chambres (soit disant de catégorie supérieure) microscopiques, pas de rangements, pas de télévision, même pas une bouteille d’eau, vraiment rien. Dans l’après-midi précèdent l’arrivée on reçoit un mail pour demander si le séjour s’est bien passé. Chambre à remettre à 10 heures maximum ou supplément de 20€ pour la garder jusqu’à midi, petit déjeuner assez frugal, il faut réclamer en permanence le rajout de pain, beurre etc. , café lavasse à se demander si ce n’est pas

Visited for lunch, sat for 30 minutes without being approached by waiting staff, we even got up to get our own drinks at the bar and take food menus since they weren’t being offered - one waiter kept nodding to us that he would be with us soon but kept getting distracted. We left without ordering, many other tables were experiencing the same. Waiting staff were completely incompetent, had no idea how to control/serve the customers

J’ai eu un doute en arrivant à savoir si c’était bien là que nous avions loué une chambre… Si vous souhaitez un total anonymat, c’est le bon lieu ! À notre arrivée, la personne ne savait pas quelle chambre nous était attribuée et surtout notre chambre était grande ouverte avec un trousseau de toutes les clés des chambres de l’hôtel… Tout a été refait à neuf et le petit déjeuner est correct.

La restauration n'est pas à la hauteur du lieu vraiment. En arrivant une attente de 20 minutes avant que les serveurs se souviennent de notre existence, pour ensuite nous prévenir un délai d'1 heure pour avoir des pizzas (seul plat disponible). Pour les prochaines visites à Montriond, je ne reviendrai pas la-bas

I visited the Hotel du Lac for lunch, and Remy and his team were extremely friendly and accommodating for my fear of wasps. I sat inside and got the choice of any table (I came at the beginning of lunch on a Saturday) and to top it all off, the food was scrumptious. I hope to come back soon!

L'hotel est très bien situé. Nous y avons séjourné 2 nuits et le deuxième soir,en rentrant dans la chambre, nous avons constaté que celle ci n'avait pas été faite: poubelle pleine non vidée, serviettes toujours mouillées,... Pas de TV dans la chambre. Accueil inexistant. Avis plus que mitigé pour cet hébergement.

Découverte de très bons coktails. Le repas était succulent. Un décor moderne très agréable. L'équipe est top, mention spéciale à Rémi. Hâte de découvrir cet endroit en été !

Avis mitigé. Accueil chaleureux pour le barman et la charmante jeune femme de l’accueil, autrement totalement anonyme. Chambre donnant sur parking, pas faite la veille du départ. Petit dej banal, produits exclusivement industriels. Gastronomie inégale. Premier soir, intéressante. Au menu dégustation du lendemain, on retrouve les produits de la veille. Saveurs incompatibles genre œuf mollet sur croûte de porc, sauces au bouillon trop salées, on n’est pas arrivés au dessert tellement c’était lourd (et cher) Bref, pas top et plutôt prétentieux. Mieux vaut faire plus simple avec des produits de qualité.

Une fois encore, au restaurant (hôtel) du lac nous nous sommes régalés. Velouté de butternut accompagné de gougères au fromage, excellent! Moelleux au chocolat, succulent comme celui de ma grand mère et une crème brulée pistache, de l'entrée au dessert, des produits frais et la carte est modifiée régulièrement, un bonheur!

A nice small hotel in a picturesque spot, handy for the Ardent lift and the heart of the Portes du Soleil ski area. The rooms are clean and minimal - in a good way - the restaurant food is good and the bar well stocked. The boot room has heated boot racks and there is a cosy fireside snug in which to relax in the evening. The staff are really friendly and accommodating, albeit the extent of this is dictated by the quite reasonable price of a stay. Don't come here if you're after all night apres ski. You can head into Morzine if you want, but the appeal of this place is the relative peace and quiet and short queues for the lift in the morning. If that appeals, I'd recommend a visit.

What a fantastic hotel! The staff were so friendly and could not do enough to help. The rooms were modern and spotlessly clean. The food was better than expected and stopped us booking meals out. Court séjour pour nous malheureusement ... Un très chaleureux et agréable accueil de la part du personnel . J'ai rarement vu des chambres aussi propre avec des lits faits au carré. Rien à redire le restaurant est excellent pour le prix . Vus très agréable, nous reviendrons au printemps .

We had a superb short break in a sublime location. Owners and staff are very attentive and couldn’t be more friendly, taking care of everything. We enjoyed watching the action at the cocktail bar - very pro - and will definitely have to return. Christmas Day roast potatoes were very memorable amongst a delightful take on Anglo-French cuisine. All in all just what we needed.

L'hôtel en lui-même est très agréable. Refait à neuf. Le problème est que son descriptif ne correspond pas à la réalité concernant les équipements des chambres. Le sèche-serviettes flambant neuf....mais pas encore relié à la terre, donc salle d'eau glacial! TV écran plat noté dans le descriptif mais absent de la chambre. Produits toilettes manquants. Et pour clôturer le tout, radiateur en panne dans la chambre! Heureusement qu'il y a Rémy!!! Ce jeune homme est extra! Il a toujours une solution, règle à LUI SEUL tous les problèmes (alors qu'il manage le restaurant et pas la partie chambres). Très pro, toujours souriant, et adorable!
